The material studied in the course "Archaeology and the Bible" is designed to familiarize the student with how ARCHAEOLOGY helps to confirm the Bible. We will start by looking all the way back at the flood and go forward from there through ancient Israel, the life of Christ and even the early church. We will also look at some of the ancient documents that have been found by archaeologists that are used in the translations of our modern day Bibles.
This course is in video format and consists of 6 lessons. Each lesson will be followed by questions about the presentation which will be completed during the class time. The questions will not be graded but are to help you remember the important facts covered in the filmstrip. It is important to pay attention to the film so that you can answer the questions. The lessons are:
Lesson 1 - The Genesis Record
Lesson 2 - Ancient Israel
Lesson 3 - The Dead Sea Scrolls
Lesson 4 - The Life of Christ
Lesson 5 - The Empire and the Early Church
Lesson 6 - Review
